Milwaukee Thread

I like that,

I had a Dremel that although didn't see much use took a hammering when I did use it, didn't last long though before it died

This is what I use with the Die Grinder, 6mm to 3.1mm collet adapter, 13mm long piece of rubber pipe behind the collets (just stops it falling down into the chuck). You can then use all your Demmel bits.

I bought another multi kit for home £21.

The Dremel diamond cutting disks on the Speed Click bit are amazing really, they can cut through just about anything!.

I suppose the only drawback to the Dremel is the chuck requires two spanners, but that's due to it's power really when using the bigger 6mm and 8mm collet tools.

I saw a bloke walking down Hall lane yesterday towards a development site. He was pulling along a large Milwaukee tool bag that had a set of wheels built in. Quite handy I thought for those that have to lug tools about to work on various sites and travel by public transport.

The bags with wheels have been around for well over a decade.

I think Makita or Panasonic started the craze - these days everyone and their dog makes them. They are OK if you don't overload them, but they seem to suffer from poorly stitched zips and i had one where the wheel bearings collapsed. So, a bit of a curate's egg

Was all set to buy the Milwaukee cut off tool,. But it doesn't appear to be what I thought.

I thought it was like this Makita unit https://www.screwfix.com/p/makita-h...mVrS2nbakHqy-4X6D0saAiYNEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

I wanted it so I can cut plaster board and MDF from a ceiling rather than using a hammer and smashing it down.

I've already got a cordless circ saw but that's a bit heavy still to be swinging above your head.

I did think about getting a wood blade for the Milwaukee, but with it spinning at 20,000 rpm, it's probably not a good idea.

I've looked at the rest of the range and I'm surprised they don't offer anything similar

Or anything like this (neither do Hitachi whim I'm already in bed with so to speak)

It's like a circular saw and a grinder in one.
Ideal for cutting plasterboard.
Comes with 3 different cutting wheels
