Are you seriously trying to suggest that high temperature anomalies caused by passing aircraft exhausts are responsible for high temperature readings and that as a result, global warming is a scam?

I think it is more that the record high temperature was recorded a few yards away from where jet exhausts were passing. Is it so unbelievable that if it happened just at the right time that might add say 0.5C for a short period. I know having the hair dryer on makes our bedroom thermometer go up quite a bit.

The whole point is the the poster boy reading for climate doomers is based on bad data from a poorly positioned station. Well they have shot themselves in the foot because the reading was so high we have not had it again and it makes the doomers claims look wrong- again.

The software of my weather reporting system, includes a sanity check on temperatures, to limit short term glitches in the data - all brief, sudden changes are filtered out, before being recorded. It takes several minutes of a change in temperature to persist, before the stored, and reported temperature changes. I would expect the system in question, to do something similar.
