I’m fitting 7” skirting around the house and want to buy a mitre / chop saw. Can someone advise a cheap decent one please. I’m looking at blade size and it seems a minefield and not very clear. Can anyone say whether the screw fix or tool station ones would be capable and a good starter kit?
Many thanks in advance

7" isn't that much, so you probably don't need a sliding mitre that could handle wider boards. Probably something with a 216mm blade would be fine. I picked up an old Dewalt DW707-LX tonight which I'll try out tomorrow for the first time. For the price these are supposed to be solid workhorses and incredibly accurate. The Metabo KGS is also pretty good for the money, specially the non-sliding version which I think can cope with 170mm cross cuts.
