Does anyone use Monzo on here? I’ve used it for years, it’s a pre-paid debit card that you load up online from other accounts. You can also send money to friends and relatives who also have a Monzo account. They are very good with refunds. It’s my default payment on Amazon and EBay. I normally have about £20 in there to cover small payments such as books on my kindle or the odd coffee when I’m out etc and load it up before making a large online or in store purchase. It’s also great for using abroad - you get the instant best exchange rate. I never use the physical card, always use the app on my phone. I always use it online as if your details are copied, scammers can only take what’s in there.That happened to me this morning. Found it had been used for a £16.99 pending purchase on Apple. I made no such transaction, had no email confirmation, had no purchases shown in my Apple account. Got on to Monzo via the app. They cancelled the transaction and refunded me, blocked the card, issued a new card to be delivered in a few days and replaced the card details in my iPhone and iPad wallets. All this took less than a couple of minutes without the need to speak to anyone. Bloody good service.
