Evening all,
I wish to lower a radiator about 5 inches from its current position on a wall was n a back bedroom
The rad looks late 80’s / early 90’s ... with valves either end thatvate connected to copper pipes ... and is part of a central heating system powered by a combi boiler.
Would the easiest way to do this be as follows ? :
- turn off both valves attached to the rad - thus retaining all water in the rad itself and totally isolating it (as opposed to draining it)
- undo the outer valve connections to the copper pipes .. cut the copper pipes down .... and re-connect to the valves
In my mind this will work, but wanted to check as recently has a new carpet fitted, and don’t wish to leak dirty radiator water onto it
Many thanks in advance, all the best
Pat
