Hi all,
I’ve got a situation where we have a stacked washer/dryer in our downstairs WC and the drain hose is fed into some pipes that are connected to a drainage pipe that goes under our concrete subfloor. The positioning of it means the washer/dryer can’t be pushed closer to the wall and we’re left with a fairly big gap and not a lot of space in the room either (please see image). I wanted to re-do the entire room and this is causing me a number of issues. Is there an easy or possible solution to avoid having any piping above the ground so we can push the washer/dryer against the wall? My initial thoughts are to have the drain hose feed directly into the part of the pipe that’s level or below ground, feed the piping through the wall instead, or build a platform for the washer/dryer to sit on so it hides the pipe but I fear it would need part of the subfloor being opened up to move the position of it which I’d want to avoid at all costs.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
