Moving to Darwin (Australia)

My daughter is moving to Darwin. She has a petrol VW Golf (55 plate). What does she need to do in terms of conversion, to use this car in Australia?

Indeed, it's not worth the transport costs.

Would probably last a month with their awful petrol anyway.

I think your daughter will be trading up, to take advantage of the cheap fuel. So best to hold onto the Golf. Just a pity its so far away all we'd all go.

cost of shipping import duties cost of conversion seems a lot to pay out when she can sell it and but somert more decent out there

Majority of cars were automatic when I was there, the manuals were not so popular.
