Existing belt snapped & no numbers on it.
Measuring the inside of the belt it’s 690mm
Purchased new belt & now fitted it.
On this champion mower the adjuster is…..lift up grass flap & you then see a 10mm nut, washer, spring etc on the threaded rod which it fixed to the axle gearbox.
After fitting this belt the 10mm nut is done up all the way.
When I was fitting the new belt it was hard to get it over the pulley wheel on the axle gearbox but once over it then dropped down, came back a touch & then sat in the pulley groove.
So my question is, Do I go bigger or smaller in the belt size so the 10mm nut isn’t done up all the way as currently I’ve used up all the adjustment now.
I’m thinking smaller would make it even harder to get over the axle gearbox pulley wheel where longer would need more adjustment in the 10mm nut.
I’ve been thinking about it now for a while & can’t decide which way to go.
