Ideally if all has been well, the plug should have a light brown colour on its electrodes. The chances are that its wet by now so dry it off. (One old trick is to heat the plug up before trying to start if the engine is getting past it).
Anyway, if there isn't a spark, Easi Start aint going to help it......!
When I was a young 'un, my dad used to persuade me to hold the HT lead end whilst he spun the engine over......the height I jumped was a fair indication of the spark quality

I agree that Easy Start won't help if there isn't a spark, but maybe I was testing it wrong?

Ignition systems these days use a very high voltage, and a correspondingly very low current - so the spark is minute and difficult to see......hence the tip about looking at the plug in the shade or darkness.
You'll see it ok if its there, and sometimes you can hear it too.
In the days of the old contact breaker / condenser systems, the current was much higher - and the plugs didn't last as long.
Just carry on with your testing and lets know.....you can get an illuminated tester by the way, that clips onto the plug and the HT plugs on to that - if there's enough HT lead length to actually use it!
