Are these the doctors, engineers, nurses, architects, technicians and other vital workers that Europe is apparently crying out for? Just killing time before they can bring their vital skills to desperate employers and help support public services in European countries. God help us!!!!:eek:

If Mad Merkel thinks these people will solve labour shortages in Germany, she has made a big mistake.

Remember that Merkel's formative years were as a child growing up in what was East Germany where dissent against the the government was not permitted. Difficult to change that attitude

From https://www.theguardian.com/business/2012/nov/16/ikea-regrets-forced-labour-germany

But on Friday Ikea became associated with something darker when it admitted that at least some of its cupboards, chairs and other household products were produced by East German prisoners incarcerated for their political beliefs.

Crikey, the RWR are insisting that you need to fulfil labour shortage criteria now to qualify as a refugee!

Still spouting the same old boring right wing dross you lot. Different usernames - same tedious diatribe.

And what does qualify somebody as a refugee in your opinion?

Cos sure as hell most of the people Merkel's letting in don't in mine.

Why is it it right wing to be opposed to mass immigration on a society changing scale, especially as it has been and is being imposed without any reference to the existing society's opinions?
There are many labour voters opposed to what's happening, and while it continues you can bet your life people will continue to rail against it.
And you can stick your "right wing" "racist" "xenophobic" labels up your arse.

It isn't that folk have moved to the right, it is that the Left have gone so far left that they are right there with that famous Leftie, Jo Stalin.. Complete with their death threats to anyone who doesn't agree with their view of freedom..

Errr....? Have you read your own link? Or are you doing what you do most often, which is (apart from boring people to death) start a thread about summat then morph it into an anti-muslim tirade?

So - is this thread about refugees or is it about summat else?

It rather depends on the raison d'être behind the 'allowing of mass immigration'.
If the reason for allowing or encouraging immigration is to fulfil labour shortages or provide cheap labour, it could be argued, (and probably has been, even by RWR) that it's a right-wing policy.
If the reason behind allowing immigration (especially in the form of refugees) it could be argued that it's a left-wing humanitarian policy.

There are many labour voters opposed to what's happening, and while it continues you can bet your life people will continue to rail against it.
I've argued before that politics is not necessarily a single continuum line, but more of a circular process.
It's possible that so far left or so far right ends up in the same place, perhaps extreme socialism morphs into fascism.
On the other hand left-wing voters may argue for social handouts, etc, and it's the competition for these social handouts that motivates their xenophobia. Of course, we 'educated' people know that immigrants don't claim, or claim far less, or can't claim, but the perception of the left-wing are fixed and regularly reminded by others of lesser motivation.

Xenophobia, on the other hand is further to the right of what we perceive as 'right-wing' politics in UK.

It's difficult to differentiate between those that are simply against immigration because they claim the country is full up, those that simply think that migration doesn't solve problems but just moves them, and those that are exploiting those arguments to disguise their xenophobic or racist traits.

It's the rest of their demeanour and comments that help to differentiate those that hide their true motivations and 'adopt' a seemingly benign argument against immigration.

I've made this discussion into a separate comment for (I think) obvious reasons.
The Swedish Equality Ombudsman says that racism "originally is a word that describes the division of people in a "race system"( like Apartheid) where certain races are biologically subordinated others. Today we talk more about culture racism - the notion that cultures are absolute, unchangeable and define the individual's characteristics."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_racism
Those who are accused of culture racism are also often accused of being a closet racist. According to Marcello Vittorio Ferrada de Noli, psychiatrist and professor emeritus in Public health, cultural racism is an expression of "intentional political fraud or of a subconscious xenophobic affective state" and that "the culture racist seldom wants, or rarely can, admit his/her actual biological/ethnical racist attitude".

I.e., they're kidding themselves!

Do you really believe that they are real refugees??? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Where are all the children? Where are all the women and mothers? Where are are all the sick, old people? Many of these economic migrants come from countries like Morocco or Tunisia. What exactly are they fleeing from? The horror of seeing the pink-skinned, flabby Brit holidaymakers on their beaches?

Some people are so gullible.
