Mushroom foraging.

I foraged these from the back of the vegetable compartment in the fridge and had them for breakfast.

I gave these ones in my garden a swerve because they go black and die after a day so I’d probably go the same way if I ate them.

Let the season begin!

Foraged these slender parasols this morning and had them for breakfast. Bloody 'andsome.

Saw some trooping funnels too but I’ll leave them for someone else. I’ll forage some next time I’m over there.

Hardly seen any mushrooms this autumn. They have done a lot of groundwork where I usually collect them and churned the place up. Maybe better next autumn but meanwhile, I’ve seen some other foraging going on. I’ll have to look into it of course and keep quiet to Mrs Mottie.

This morning I saw what I thought was a bird feeder on a silver birch tree in the wood. Closer inspection showed that it was some kind of tapping of the sap. Hmmmmmm.
