ok here's the story.

I am trying to wire in two lights one at each end of the shed I am using a switch with two regular on off switches. One switch to control each light. So nothing fancy required

I have wired in one light and it works fine but when I wire in the second nothing happens.

But rather than tell you what I have done so far I have removed everything so I can start again using the methods you guys supply.

Many thanks

What wire(s) have you got coming in to supply the power?

So you dont want the ritual ridiculing then? :( Shame we enjoy it  Only joking.

Anyway, all the answers are in the wiki.

answer is even simpler.

if the first one works (you said it does) do the exact same thbing again with the 2nd light

So you want two switches (in the form of a double) to control a light each? Not one switch to control both?

I've got a 15mm cable coming in from the house. It has Brown Live, Blue Neutral and earth cores only

Quite right. One of the switches operates one light the other swith operates the second light.

I know it is a silly remark but I know that we all concentrate on the live supply, but what about the neutral?
