Does anyone know
a) how old this boiler is likely to be?
b) if it was ever capable of running on LPG through a cenversion.

The reason i ask is i have just had the boiler removed to replace it and there is a plate that states Natural Gas Only.
I used to get through 2x47kg bottles every three weeks and i would really like to know if this is normal usage, and if its not is it due to the jet being a NG one and letting through twice the gas it should.

Many thanks

i thought lpg was twice the calorific value (approx) of NG and so NG jets should be approx twice the size of LPG ones ?!?

sorry for less read more...I'm getting confused. Roughly 2.7 for nat gas and 1.6 for lpg although its difficult to say for the economist as there has never been an lpg version. Economist ran from about 84 -93 in various guises.

Book says NG only.

You would need a smaller jet and a different gas valve for LPG
