Question regarding LPG quantity and usage...

I tried removing the pipe but it was so tight I couldn't do it with my spanner.
Remember that propane gas bottle pigtails are Left hand thread. So righty loosens and lefty tightens rather than the usual way.

Gas bottles are, or at least used to be, a relatively expensive way of heating a home. Bulk tank LPG users over on the MSE forum are reporting around 50p/litre + 5% vat ( at 7.08 kWh/litre of propane) = 7.42 p/kWh.

My last Kerosene (oil) fill was at 7.83 p/kWh. I've burned through some 1,225 kWh in the last 20 days (1/10 of a tankful) not atypical for the Winter months for us.

Gross weight 105kg???
That would suggest the tare (empty weight) of the bottle is 58kgs. 20 something would be nearer the mark.
It's what Calor state in their Specs as maximum, with nearly 30 kg as minimum tare https://shop.calor.co.uk/47kg-propane-gas-bottle.html
