need help please with my lights

hi there i got some celing lights today with 3 bulbs on them, i piut them up as instructed and they turn on but cannot control them turning them on and off from the light switch just by the trip switch,
from my celing i have in one grey wire, 2 live wires and one earth wire.
in the second grey wire i have 1 neautral 1 live and one earth wire,
on my light i have 1 earth wire 1 live wire and 1 neatural wire, as the wires from each bulb socket are combined togeter then as 1 main wire coming from them.

can anyone help me please i would be most gratfull.

I take it you have two grey cables entering the light fitting, one with red/bk and one red/red?

From the wire with the red/bk, connect the bk to the lamp N and the red through an extra piece of chock block to one of the red from the other cable. Connect the other red from the second cable to the lamp L. Both earths into the earth terminal in sleeving.

Are you saying there is one cable with a grey outer sheath having a red and a black core??

And then there is another cable with a grey outer sheath having two red cores??

yes one with black n red and one with red n red, okay will try that see if it works ty
