electric lights problem

Before you go any further I would recommend you isolate the supply safely to the existing ceiling rose and sort the mess out in there!

i got it working

atr some point the bulb in the bedroom light has blown changed that and reconnected and tightened all wires and all is working as i hoped it would

many thanks for all the help offered by you all

i tried connecting the brown and blue from the wardrobe in terms 1 and 6 to see if i could just use the bedroom switch for both lights and the same happens, wardrobe works and the bedroom doesn't

Thats not true, from the info you've given terms 1+2 (switched live) are the same as are 5+6 (neutral). You previously said that when connected to terms 2+5 both lights came on together, therefore the same will happen when connected to 1+6.

Get an spark to sort it out and test your circuits - its very dangerous.

where did i say both lights came on together with 2 and 5?

i said the bedroom light switch turned on the wardrobe

the bedroom light was not coming on
