Need to use a bunch of male irons...how to make a seal

In the upcoming bathroom renovation I need to use a bunch of male irons, 2 for the venturi shower and then 2 each for the 3/4 swing check valves.

Since the connections will be thread on thread only, am I supposed to use a bunch of PTFE or something to seal it or pick up a fibre washer?

I was in a shed yesterday and couldn't find any fibre washers of the right size (3/4") for the job.

I'm at work for the next 4 days so can't get to the nearest merchants to ask and pick up whatever I need.

use gas quality PTFE a couple of turns is usually enough.

Loctite 55, but you'll probably not find that in a 'shed'.

Thank you both, that might explain why I couldn't find an appropriate sized fibre washer.
