This is not technically a DIY question but we had a new Worster Boche Greenstar 30ri installed around 2 weeks ago by a company called Corgi Homeplan. We had boiler cover from Corgi and they said our old boiler needed replacing. Since then when the system is hot and clicks off water pours out of the overflow. The installer came back and said as it was a like for like install he only did the connecting of the new boiler which he said was correct. Part of the original quote was for a survey to be carried out, which the installer did over the phone! When he did come back he said despite us having Hive smart thermostat the boiler was still connected to the old dial room one. Also there was a frost thermostat that wasn't needed as the new boiler had this built it. He basically said we should get these thermostats removed and it wasn't his problem; and to employ and electrician/plumber to tidy everything up.
We called the company to complain and they said the installer said it wasn't their issue.
Is this correct?
Is a phone survey acceptable?
Is there any governing body etc the covers this or are we going to have to go to the small claims courts
Thanks
