Hey
Got an Xtramax GC 47 047 15, with small storage, for a 1 bath, 1 shower in ensuite, 10 rads flat.
Can someone give me a recommendation of how much I am looking at for cost to replace with sim, down in Brighton ? Or recommend someone ?
People sometimes recommend Intergas, but seems to me that once the parts are unavailable you are up the creek, therefore stay with mainstream makers, like Worcestor or Vaillant.
Seems to be still working, though hot water not as hot as normal, just been told by Scottish Power that they havne't got any parts so it lasts as long as it lasts, unless can find local engineer who wants to hunt around for parts ... but whether it's worth it don't know. Actually had a whole bunch of parts fitted 2 years ago by BG.
Unsure what to do, could just let it run as is until fails then replace. Get quotes to prepare. Seems like the best move ? It's 18 years old, but also seems pretty expensive so not in hurry to chuck.
Cheers for any help.
