Very nice work. Is that an MK socket you used to terminate the meter tails onto?

I think its always worth letting customers see inside the consumer unit when you've finished - then they know you've done a good job 'cos its all nice and tidy!

What sort of property is this? A complete refurb? (I'm guessing its not a newbuild due to the brickwork, and this appears to be an old cellar!)

The socket is an MK old logic range fed with 10mm² tails.

The property is a victorian mid terrace house in Bradford.

It has been gutted and fully refurbed. (it desperatly needed it)

Were the DNO involved... the tails seem to change from pic to pic? or looking at it, does that meter have a removeable out-going terminals cover?

Also the meter seems to have moved onto a new board

The meter has a seperate cover for the outgoing side of the meter, with contractors isolator switch.

The board the meter was fixed to was rotten chipboard and disintegrated, so I was left with little choice. No seals were removed in the process.

And the service fuse didn't just fall off the wall too? Its board looks in a similar condition (and being lower should be in a worse condition). Give it a bash and call YEDL to report an unsafe installation

The head was on a board of 'proper' wood. The screws had rusted away, but 4 stainless steel 3" screws soon cured that.

Still sealed

Very pretty, but I noticed that the numbering of the earth conductors doesn't correspond with those of the neutral conductors! (Naughty boy  ) Won't look good when it comes to testing!

I can't help it if MK can't design their boards properly.

The fist six earth terminals correspond properly, as do the second set of six.

Why would you provide 16 earth terminals on a 12 way board?

Only pulling your leg! That's split-loads for you. And it keeps the prices down! :D

Rob, tut tut, norty boy!

Do I detect the sheath of twin & earths not quite reaching the inside of the board?
