The Main DB for the house, which is in the kitchen, I have now gotten around to replacing.
The meter was moved by the DNO, and all the new DBs have been all been tested and signed off.

Here are some pictures of the old burnt line tail which went from the service head to the meter (It was burnt due to a loose connection in the service head)

The upstairs DB is supplied by 16mm T+E from a 50A MCB in the main DB. It feeds the immersion heater, loft sockets (& doorbell fcu), upstairs sockets, side bedroom sockets & the hall sockets.

Here are some pictures of the Upstairs DB

The summerhouse DB is supplied from the main DB via 40m of 3core 6mm SWA on a 32A MCB.
The summerhouse DB feeds a outside socket, summerhouse sockets, summerhouse lights, & outside lights.

Who tested the work before and after ?

You do realise that the 50A MCB might not discriminate with any of the MCBs in the upper CU ?

Also note that mixing two different types of the same MCB in the 1st floor DB is not a good idea. Electrium (the company that owns crabtree ,wylex volex marbo etc) have recently changed the design of their fuseboards and the breakers . The new type as in your main DB and the other type as in your 1st floor DB are not totally compatable due to the spacings of the busbar stabs and the terminals on the MCBS being slightly different.

You need to make sure you have the right MCBs to go with the board used.

Do electrium still supply free fire extinguishers with their CUs?

I think the fire extinguisher option only comes with the new boards , the older ones just had a fire blanket LoL

:D

If that is true, it means big problems for anyone who has got one of the older design boards (and that is likely to be a lot of people).
The older type are not made any more, and probably not available anywhere either, as a substantial number were recalled.
