New Desktop PC

Yes, sorry, the 24" is just U2412M. The HM is for the 22". So many models. The Dell monitors are fantastic for the fully adjustable stands, not to mention quality panels.

16:10 panels are becoming rare in any size, I can't think of any 27" ones off the top of my head. 24" is pretty big anyway, you want to step the resolution up if you go bigger, imo.

Would you still lay out £400 to play this kind of stuff?
Get him to join a youth activity group. like the Scouts, and spend the money on open air, stimulating and healthy activities.

Kids at camp mean a night of peace for you at home.....

One's a Cub, the other's a Scout and the third is an Explorer.... ;)

In all those years they have only been all out on camp together at the same time once. Yay!!!!

Unfortunately, I was on camp as a Leader with them.

Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

OK.

Got the AOC monitor.

Has DVI-D and D-SUB inputs.

Monitor currently connected by DVI-D lead supplied in box.

Boy wants to connect Xbox (which has HDMI output) to monitor.

I have looked at many leads on Amazon et al.

As usual, there are many ways to skin a cat.

What is the best way to connect these up?

I was thinking it's best to use DVI-D for both monitor and Xbox, so will need some kind of splitter then to adapt from DVI-D to HDMI, but AFAICT, you can't do that in one lead. I'd rather not use two, as you will lose clarity along the way, surely?

Thanks, guys.

It only has one input, so you'll need a small DVI or HDMI switch. These are easily enough found.

There's no quality loss with extra cables or adapters, or switches.
