Hi

Just purchased one of these:

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20160766

On first impression it all looked so simple! We wanted to fit it to existing ceiling rose, however the rose is slight too large to fit into the 'box'

What would be our options? Would I have to screw the rose back onto the ceiling and then trace a blue & brown to the pendant? The box contains a transformer btw? Is there another way of doing this or another junction box or do 'roses' come in smaller sizes?

Cheers for any help :)

You will probably have to remove the ceiling rose and replace it with a terminal strip and fit that in a chocbox or other form of junction box.

This wiki link shows you how to swop a ceiling rose for a terminal strip.

Makes sure you switch the lighting circuit off at the consumer unit first and test that the circuit is dead.
