new light fitting problem

i have just fitted a new light in a bedroom, but the light is permenently on ! i,ve obviously connected it wrong but to avoid blowing a fuse could anyone HELP. thanks

Take the time to read the link Slippy just gave you, as its always best to understand what's going on, but to give you a pointer, you've got your light connected between permanent live and neutral, as opposed to switched live and neutral.

gold1875 - how many times are you going to mess up before you either decide to put some effort into learning how circuits are wired, or twig that you shouldn't be doing this and start calling an electrician when you need work done?

Have you bought a multimeter yet, BTW?
