Following on from the great success of Richardc's blackbird cam, I discovered a nest in my garden yesterday, and wondered if any one was interested in watching this one via the magic of the internet

First mistake.

Its not in your garden its in your shed. ;)

Is it a wasps nest or hornets?

The shed is my garden ;)

I'm hoping they are just wasps.

They do get angry when you prod the nest

Shut shed door, set fire to shed. Sorted.

No can do.
Its against the law to tamper with or disturb a bees, wasps or hornets nest.
Same with birds and bats and pretty much most animals settlements.

What about the stuff in there, and the garage next to it? Is that just something I'll have to accept?

I thought about lighting a couple of big smoke bombs in there just to see what happens

Really?

I saw a man from the council on telly filling a wasps nest with some powder to kill the nest off

Best thing would be to contact your local council and ask for the pest control dept.
They will tell you what you can and can't do.

Guy on telly must have been registered, ordinary 'bloke in the street' can't do it.

Twas a joke......What about ******?

Only kidding, I know it's against the law to look sideways at them.

Have you got a local beekeeper who could move it for you?

Bees are protected, wasps aren't. When I had a similar one in my shed I got a can of nest destroyer which was an aerosol foam spray. Directions: Stand well back, squirt then run. Worked really well.
I don't mind bees but wasps are evil.
