Hello
I am about to lay my new floor. Engineered oak flooring. 20mm thick with ply backing. 170mm x 2100mm planks. I've got a concrete floor. Had it professionally levelled and treated with Sika rapid DPM.
Am I best to glue the floor down or float it. I have fitted a few floating floors but never glued. I assume that glue will give a more solid feel to the floor but floating will allow an underlay which might make the floor slightly warmer. I assume a glued floor will be more difficult to lay?
What are the pros and cons of glued?
Thanks.
