Hello First post here, just a little worried and wondered if anyone can help.
We've just put a new oven in, and the smell of burning is extremely high.
I understand this is often normal in a new oven, however it does have me concerned.
Is this wiring a cause for concern with the burning, or is it fine?

No connection, the burning smell will be protective coatings burning off.
The wiring could be better though.....the conductors should pass right underneath the screw head, rather than just the tips being held, and the insulation should cover the conductors as far as possible.
I'm making no comment on the polarity of the connections as I can't see any markings other than the earth.
John :)
