Today sees the addition of a new rule. It is one that should be obvious and would have previously been classed under Rule 1 - Abuse. However it would seem it needs to be clarified and highlighted in light of a few recent postings.
In summary posting personal details/photos of other members is forbidden.
People are entitled to their privacy. Whether the information is already public domain or not, do not post it on DIYnot.
This includes but is not limited to first or last name, address, telephone, email, photos, employment details, Streetview, user accounts on other websites etc.
We consider it a breach of a member's privacy and will have no option but to suspend (temporarily or permanently) the poster's account.
