Hi All. Appreciate any/all feedback. Have had three quotes to replace an old (20 yers) Potterton boiler ( heat only) with a new heat only Vaillant. Two quotes have proposed replacing a 10 year old CH pump which is working just fine with no problems as it is good practice when fitting a new boiler ( it could be full of sludge was onecomment). The one central heating engineer which doesn’t suggest replacing the pump has said “why replace it if it works fine”. The system will be chemical flushed for two weeks pre the installation to clean the system. Can I have your advice/ recommendations as to whether a new CH pump is recommended?

Thanks guys.

If it's working fine there is no need to replace it . If it fails you can replace it then, but that would very likely be more expensive than having it done as part of the boiler swap.
