I need to try and get hold of a 20A B Curve RCBO for a Newlec board.

Anyone have any idea where from (or a suitable alternative)??

Believe this or not it is so a customer can have one new socket!!!

There are no other sockets close by from which to spur!!

But i take it the consumer unit is...

You can take a spur from the origin of the circuit, straight out of the board.

Ha ha ha, told him it may be cheaper to do it that way already!!!!

Try this on thou, went to look at the CU (in the garage under the house) ther is no bonding to the gas or the water, as far as he knows there never has been!!!

So that something you're going to have to do anyway, Im a great fan of making things a doddle for the next contractor

Yes he wants the bonding doing, Told him I would replace the tails as well!! He asked why, I pointed out they were both RED!!!

Apparently the CU change was done by one of our cousins at YEDL!!!!

Surely you could take a spur off the board, then fit a surface-mounted RCD spur and extend to the socket position?

Not ideal, but it would comply (providing your bonding and the tails are up to it).
