Nicotine and covid 19

Nicotine AFAIK isn't harmful, however smoke has many many carcinogens in it, not an advisable habit.

Conny..you are kidding yourself.Smoking has no positive health benefits...I have never smoked...never catch cold etc...For sure...you would be a damn site fitter if you had never smoked.
yeah, not many people that smoke avoid health problems,of which there are many.

I've never smoked either, I imagine its a hard habit to give up.

Jumping in front of a moving train will also stop you dieing of Covid 19.

Well yes it would

The point is that there may be some substance in tobacco that stops the virus

Nicotine may be????

NO one is saying take up smoking!!!!

When I smoked, I hardly ever had the sniffles or any sort of cold/flu illness
Yeah, as a smoker and soon after getting out of bed and spending the morning coughing up mucous and blowing snot out of my nose for the next few hours, I used to wonder why so many people succumb to sniffles too.

I stopped some six years ago after smoking all of my life, I just made a decision to stop. I had several thousand in stock at the time - Just like falling off a log and I have not fancied one since then in the slightest.
I was so anti smoking and ended up smoking after getting into MDMA, my god the two are made for eachother with music combined heaven. Weened myself off with herbal cigs under a year later. Alcohol used to make me crave nicotine, but wow what an addictive evil thing, but all you need is a bit of mental strength.. and a crave for good health, patches etc are for wimps.
