No-Go areas of UK

Care to actually quote your source of that "article" rather than just the paragraph you chose!?
WTF do you think this is:
https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/no-go-areas-of-uk.480718/page-8
And you accuse me of not reading the comments?
If you had tried to find it you would have realised that it is not a current biggest conflict in Birmingham and would have destroyed your case!

Now find me a recent reference to a current biggest conflict that resembles your "current biggest conflict in Birmingham that every Brummie would know about"!

Edit: My mistake. Here is the correct link:
https://www.theguardian.com/film/2013/feb/24/peace-streets-birmingham-gangs-documentary

Your link just reverts back to page 8 of this discussion, it does not reference your quote. specifically the date it was made and by whom

Sorry. My sincere apologies. I did supply the wrong source. My mistake.
Here is the proper one:
https://www.theguardian.com/film/2013/feb/24/peace-streets-birmingham-gangs-documentary

No worries but that is from 2013 and came out when they were trying to promote the "documentary" and also further Dylans career as an actor as he had done others before. It was a money raising initiative and had nothing to do with creating a truce. They all got paid well for it.

Here's the latests links. 28 shootings from just two articles in past year. Hardly peaceful and been ended for several years!!

Fair dos, but those articles relate to crimes over 18 months ago, not in the last year, as you suggest.
The article says "in less than a year", not in the past year.
at least 20 shootings in less than a year
So the most recent was October 2015:
Six of the 20 “known” shootings took place last August Bank Holiday weekend and tensions mounted further after four people were wounded in a drive-by shooting outside a Costcutter shop in Hockley in October.
Article dated Feb 2016.
Hardly current biggest conflict in Birmingham,
It is only the Birmingham Mail and its reporters allocating responsibility for these crimes to the gangs.

Hardly current biggest conflict in Birmingham, and certainly not much talk about it on the streets, in the bars, etc. The general feelings among Brummies is that the feud is over, and not current.

The majority of day to day goes unreported as it's so frequent. Trust me I spent my life round those areas an still know many people that live there including my ex partner and son. I know exactly what goes on. I even know some of the gang members. The feud is most definitely not over and it will always continue as long as there is money to be made from drugs. Its a turf war for sales, simple as that, which is why I said there is no such thing as down the road. These two gangs are seperated by Birchfield Rd less than 20m wide. Thats their territory and if it's crossed people end up paying by whatever means.

If you have facebook add a couple of Birmingham groups and you will soon see how many stabbings, shootings and beatings go on. It's a daily occurrence.

A localised issue, serious but localised. So the other 800,000 or so Brummies will not know about it.

If you have facebook
I do not, and I do not want.

Then the average Brummie will not know of it, which makes it a specialised, or localised issue.

But they do, social media spreads farther and wider through more parts of a community than a newspaper or the news does nowadays. If you class the second City as localised then you are wrong. I know nothing of what happens in London on a day to day basis but I bet the average Londoner hears more from social media than it does from the news. Black lad stabbed or shot just doesn't make the news anymore, sad as it seems but people are more interested in reality stars and all that *******s.

I can accept that, but I still do not want facebook. But are the reports/rumours reliable? There is no responsibility for perpetrators of fake news to report accurately.

Perhaps, but is it reliable? A bit like: are arse end's reports on here reliable?

Fair comment but I trust that only relates to the usual chavs, not the thinking people. I think that the majority of people are genuinely concerned about all and any crimes, irrespective of the colour or nationality of the victim, or the perpetrator.

free reign? ... Semantics will not change the facts.
No ridicule or malice intended:
spelling or punctuation can change the semantics.

free reign/reign without charges? : free rein/no restrictions or limits.

I could and so could you dummy.
There aren't any no-go areas in the UK for ordinary folk. Try and show me one. He cant. He wont.
