Hi

I'm trying to fit a mixer shower in the bathroom, the house has a gravity fed system. I've closed the two gate values in the airing cupboard, one is the supply from the clod water tank to the hot water cylinder and the other is the cold supply from the cold tank. After draining the sysetm and fitting t-juctions into the bath tap pipes, I've turned the system on and there is no hot water? Is this likely to be a broken gate valve?, the handle still turns to open it. I've also heard of 'airlocking', is this likely on this type of system.

Thanks

Airlocking is extremely comman on these types of system

do a search on how to clear them, or have a look at bahco's FAQ section am sure there is something in there about it
