Hi i have a problem with my central heating .I have no hot water from the taps upstairs and down stairs .The radiators come on but no hot water I have a shower pump ,but it stopped working so I disconnected it and closed the gate valves .Would this have any think to do with the problem. Also the small feeder tank does not fill up with water .Please help :( :(

Do you get any water at all from your hot taps?
If not then your ball valve is probably jammed so not replenishing the cold water tank that feeds the cylinder.
You need to be sure on what tank is not filling.

yes i am getting water from taps, every think seems fine till I turn the heating on for the water .Its just runs out cold .I ve even filled the small tank up manually .Got the radiator's working took the trapped air out of them its just the water being cold, .. Thanks

I ve just looked in the book. Its called a wet central heating system. there is a bigger tank filled from the mains next to it is a small tank . the boiler is a bout 15 to 20 years old .Which is firing up OK.Also can hear pump working

I wonder what all those cut off white pipes are for?

Its not the 1st April is it?

I think that's probably where the pump was before the OP disconnected it, I was more interested in the long braided flexis

I know exactly what has happened here. You have a state of the art 'safety deck' system and it has automatically shut down your hot water system until an official safety deck engineer can visit to diagnose and repair the problem for you. Good luck

Would this be a Air Lock in the system has any one had this problem or is this a first .What If I drain the whole system, and start again .Or disconnect the ball valve of the small tank and connect a hose and try a burst of water down the pipe.it just if I call a plump out they charge the earth just to walk through your door .

Hi bad news tried disconnecting ball valve fitted hose pipe run water down pipe for a few seconds ... did not work time to call plumber or is any one out there that knows some think else i could try Thanks
