You have to hand it to Titan salvage and Micoperi.....Costa Concordia has been parbuckled successfully!
The Master of the ship is prepared to admit guilt if it gets him a lesser sentence than the expected 20 year stretch.
Oh, OK then.
John :)

we were talking bout htis at work today, the cost of it is approx 500million pounds and growing.

the cost of the ship to build was 400 million.someone insurance premium is goner go up by a few quid aint it

I wonder why they didn't use a boat load of Indians to do the job as it's going to be scrapped anyway.

makes you wonder f we are living in areal world, 1/2 a billion pounds or dollas to upright a flippined ship! what next? and how much they say is enough for you to live on per week? £30 quid????

Contractors over-charging when they know there's insurance is nothing new.

Our son aged 14 had an accident skiing and was admitted to a clinic in France where he stayed for five days while the mechanisms of insurance and getting the right treatment were sorted out. Twice the accounts people from the clinic came up and said to us: "Don't be in a hurry to leave!" and when we got home, the UK orthopedic consultant and my cycling buddy, also a doctor, both told us that in a UK hospital our son would have been discharged straight away and sent home with intructions to take it easy!

That's the NHS for you. Bodge em up and kick em out.

I think Joe has missed your point, RR!
