Yes Mattylad, you are correct. Is this worrying you for some reason?
I mean, if somebody said something about a 13A plug (plugtop if you like), then would you expect them to also mention that you need a functioning 13A socket to plug it into to get the thing to work?

Very true- but so what? The initial question, and subsequent tangential discussions, has not been anything to do with accessability.Here you are having a conversation about junction boxes and no one has said anything about no longer using them where they cannot be accessed and the use of maintenance free junctions ???
