Hello,

I have an offcut from the oak worktops I installed in the summer (four actually about 60mm x 60mm x 50mm) and was thinking of making a chopping board from one but it's too heavy at 50mm thick. Is there somewhere I can take it where they can cut it in half (thickness)? Also any suggestions what to do with the others?

Thanks...

Hi, I am looking for a a oak offcut about that size 520 x 600 x 40mm.
Are you in Hampshire?

Regarding making it thinner I would either plane it or use a router on the underside where the finish does not have to be perfect. An expert would use a thicknesser etc.

David,

Yes, I am in Hampshire. Best size I have is 498 x 660 x 40. If you want it and can collect it's yours.

Hi Alastair, thanks for the offer but unfortunately its not quite wide enough, bit of a shame since your also in Hampshire.
