Right ill try and explain as best i can.
Girlfriends parents got a small holiday home in remote part of wales so no gas. They have a Worcester Greenstar Heatslave External oil fed boiler which has always worked fine. Recently started playing up, C/H works fine but when trying to use the hot water it only supplies about 4-5 minutes of hot water, so when running a bath you get a quarter of a bath of hot water then hot water stops and runs cold, if you turn the hot tap off leave it 10 minutes you get another 4-5 minutes of hot water. Now the problem seems to be mainly when running the bath, the thermostatic shower seems to work fine for as long as you need it, as does the kitchen tap. The bath taps are the big old fashion taps with no aerator that just pours out. Could they be causing the water too flow through the boiler too quick, if so why would it only start affecting it now ?
Thanks guys.

Sounds like the diverter valve isn't diverting to the heat store fully.
So the boiler isn't replenishing the heat store as it should.

Easy fix.

Could be a problem related to the taps. Turn on the tap and measure the flow. Compare this with the specification of your boiler. You may need to turn down the flow. As you have already been told, there may be a problem with the diverter valve.
