Olympic F Firebird - problems :(

A friend of mine has one of these beats and he says it fires up then cuts out when it gets to temperature but then when it needs to kick in again it doesnt fire up.....fan runs so does the pump. sounds like an intermittent fault but can anyone help me with this!?!? what do you guys reckon

Riello burner? Could well be the coil that fixes to the side of the oil pump, failing when reaching a certain temperature.
