Please explain how you came to your conclusion that the research is of poor quality. You obviously have to come to that conclusion, so share with us your reasons and methods for arriving at such conclusion.Poor piece of research by even the lowest standards. You might even think its only intention is to stir up racial hatred.
Better research here from the World Values Survey. Shows the UK is among the most racially tolerant Countries in the World.

Hardly, better research, they asked a very simplistic question:
"What kind of people would you not want as neighbours?"
In fact, from your reference, I quote:
"The methods used were not without controversy,........../"
So even your reference accepts that your information had misgivings.
You come out with some ludicrous things many times, but that last comment is one of the looniest comments I've seen in a long time.Indians is racist, they are Americans or Africans.
Men in drag is racist, they're Scots
Tie me Kangaroo down sport is Racist to the Aborigines. And animal cruelty
Any religion is racist.
I have dozens of Frogs running around the garden at the moment, If I was in france they'd be food, is that racist or truth.
The problem with you pathetic morons and do gooders is you promote racial hated with your looney ideas
You obviously have no experience in conducting surveys.Based on only 2000 people and reported by BBC, like asking Alabama newspaper if they think racism still exists.http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-27599401
This report debunks the claim that if we ignore abuse it will go away.
Also, the report only deals with those that admit to being racially prejudiced.
There are many on this forum who deny being prejudiced.![]()
Additionally:
fron the report.Education had an impact with 19% of those with a degree and 38% of those with no qualifications reporting racial prejudice.
You honstly, think the BBC are trying to ferment racial hatred?![]()
If you wish to stand on the sidelines throwing in abusive comments from time to time, instead of engaging in debate with me to substantiate your ideology, that's fine by me.When I first saw this thread, as it opened, I thought, "Ah, we have that much vaunted thread complete with nothing but 'This post is hidden' entries."
Then two sane people went and added comments!
The syrveys have been conducted every year since 1983:I am not pro UKIP, but was suspicious when this article came out so soon after the recent results for UKIP.
Another suggestion that BBC is anti-UKIP.The BBC ran a clip titled "why I voted ukip" on their website the day the results came in. It was a fairly rough round the edges chap rambling on about "them" coming over here, taking our jobs etc etc. The guy could barely string a sentence together. It seemed so obvious that BBC was seeking to polarize the issue into 'Racists V's mainstream' as if there is nothing possibly wrong with Cons', Labour or Libs action's in recent years. That the next bit of narrative we get is that We (sig. more of us than we think) we are racist only serves, I think, to rally a backlash against ukip by drawing people to vote against a sea of racism.
Some will take the statistics that they want from the study, t'is true.I think 'research's is funded to say whatever paymaster's want it to say.
Is this even slightly relevant?People say Hoover unthinkingly when they mean vacume cleaner.
So why not do a little research into the survey yourself befoe refuting its findings? They also say, referring to unamed research bodies, "They reckon [insert factoid]......" as if it will do to inform another. The problem is a sig proportion of people will take headlines as gospel and not get near understanding nor thinking about research methodology, or outright propaganda for that matter.
Excellent sentiment and one that I would reccomend to anyone.Whenever I am told anything by the Media I always have to wonder who wants me to think this, and why.
Thanks for your thoughts. For what they were worth.Just my 2p. Which means I am spent. Not debating thanks, just getting it out.
I'd ask what kind of torture do you think animals suffer.Yes, at least pigs are spared the mediaeval torture.
And then, of couse, no alcohol. It's OK for their royal family to drink, though, because they travel to London to do it. I have, however, witnessed at least one prince who was admitted to our hospital with 'substance poisoning' (= hangover).
When I went down to the American Embassy in London to gain a work permit, as I sat there waiting my turn to be called up to ‘prove my worth’ I could hear raised voices from my chair as one after another were refused. It was like waiting to be executed. When it was my turn, after introducing myself, I started first saying in a defensive way “I’m sorry, I know I don’t hold a degree or....”![]()
She interrupted me and it was so different to what I’d been hearing for the past half hour from the methane-smelling chair I'd left behind. “Oh of course you got a degree sir! With your qualifications and experience you’re what America needs”. After a few more forms read and questions - ACCEPTED!![]()
I almost had tears in my eyes, I was so proud at that moment of my achievements and America’s acceptance of a pleb like me. I have found you can go a long way in life if you are bald-headed, wear glasses and speak the Queen's English. (And just a little knowledge under ones belt).![]()

Here's another urban myth:And then, of couse, no alcohol. It's OK for their royal family to drink, though, because they travel to London to do it. I have, however, witnessed at least one prince who was admitted to our hospital with 'substance poisoning' (= hangover).
I was on a short term contract in the city last year and one of the blokes I was with was over from Abu Dhabi. He said the Saudi's used to come over and get fissed as parts on a regular basis ('tourists' are allowed to drink) and everyone knew it.
