My daughter had a message come through to upgrade her phone for free if see dialed a 0208 number anybody else had one and where do you suppose 0208 leads you to outer mongolia or where?
0208 numbers are London codes so your daughter should be safe calling Orange on the number.

Well phoned this number up talked to someone who took details,they said they would phone back with what choice of phone to upgrade to.
Be VERY careful. They should already have your details on file (they should only need a password of some form of authentication to verify who you are). If your not careful you may end up with 2 phones on 2 contracts. Dont forget, ask them what their company is called, if its anything other than Orange PLC (or the carphonewarehouse hybrid) hang up or tell them you aint interested.oompah said:
I had trouble with CPW when I was on O2. I never realised that the contract was going through CPW, and it wasn't true O2. They put my number on calling lists and I got all sorts of calls and texts from 3rd parties asking if i wanted insurance and theft cover and even a sodding new phone! I ended up writing CPW a stern letter asking them to take me off their calling lists and telling them that they should make it clearer at the point of signing what they intend to do with their customers info. I never had this trouble with pure O2, which is who I went to after my CPW contract ended.
