He made it back from...... To the Outer Hebrides !

Experts are trying to identify a huge metal container that has been washed up on a beach in the Western Isles.

That is my best guess as well. The ring of holes on the mounting points look similar to mountings for load cells to weigh the contents.

i went out for a paddle on that in the sea a few years ago..... been here in Panama ever since... (apart from when i'm living in the wife's spare room - shhh don't tell my kids!!)

The 27m container has been identified as a beer fermentation tank belonging to the American brewery Coors.
