But of course legal, working people will be welcome to stay, pay taxes and probably live much happier lives in a country where people don't assume they arrived on a boat.
Why would people assume that?
The truth is that in the year ending June 2025 fewer than 5% of immigrants arrived on small boats.
Why would people assume an immigrant came on a small boat when there's a less than 1 in 20 chance of that being true?
Could it, just maybe, be because their perception has been skewed by being lied to by racists?
