i'm considering adding wall lights to my property but could of questions:

- there is no existing lighting - would it be possible to have an electrician take the power through the mains circuit (for sockets) through an interior wall, up and out.

- ideally, i'd like an option for: PIR, on totally, off totally - is this do-able with a product like Steinel L12?

- or can anyone recommend any decent (the walls do get a lot of wind and rain) exterior wall lights? I can't find any twin spot light options with built-in PIRs unfortunately (there's ones that go up and down, but I can't find any that can have two lights angled downwards with a PIR)?

- and lastly - I did find that timeguard (zv700) do an interior programmable switch - but will that work with the hope for the three options for working the lights or what would be better? And does anyone know of any suitable switch in brushed chrome?

thanks in advance

It maybe possible, there is normally a way of doing these things.

It will be do-able by using the appropriate settings for the sensor, for motion control times and dusk-dawn mode. This can the me stopped be isolation via switch. Not sure if they have an override facility, other than manually adjusting the mode settings every time you want them continuously on!

That would depend on the override function! That I am not sure about!

thanks for the reply.

I guess the ideal would be something like this but with a PIR:

or even http://www.thelighting-company.co.uk/images/paulneuhaus/9791-95.jpg

this is the nearest I can find but looks dire:

Use a separate PIR?

I've yet to find one that looks even remotely 'nice' - they're all 'in your face' and not subtle.

I guess I could go for two separate wall downlighting adjustable steel wall lights with pirs.

still can't find a solution for chrome finished timer for inside though

Steinel IS2180?
thanks - the problem is the wall is a sandstone type brick so the black (or indeed white) would stand out if I used steel lights.

although I've discovered the other problem is that i'll need to find a PIR with a short range.

on another note - I've been reading up on notifiable work and the threads on the forum - if it's simply taking power off an existing circuit, and the wiring is straight through a wall and to a light - is this notifiable or not?

thanks for any help
