It's no problem to install lights such that you don't have cables festooned everywhere.

With a bit of thought you should be able to do it with no cables whatsoever on show.

If you live under 440kv pylons just hammer some 6 foot fluorescent tubes into the ground, they'll light the place up nicely, and for free.
 
Getting personal H? thought russian federation lived on it. Seriously the air round here is full of salt.Even cars don't last as long as inland.
 
Depends where the customer wants the light and the level of disruption they are prepared to accept.
