what fuel and rating are they? methods vary according to the appliance ratings.
All it needed was a simple GAS or ELECTRIC or dualfuel.what fuel and rating are they? methods vary according to the appliance ratings.
I thought this was the electric forum....not sure whether npower supplies only its own fossil fuel power (ie gas and coal), plus a bit of wind and hydro, or a mix including nuclear.![]()
Seriously, both electric, ratings
Oven 2.25kW
Hob 5.8kW
Thanks
Fixed.
Friendly electrician says they can be fed via the same isolating switch to a twin 'outlet' located on the wall below the worktop and beside the oven. This assumes rating is within the capability of the one switch which the above are.
I assume this is what is meant by 'low level cooker outlet unit'.
Thanks guys.

Not as simple as that cos your oven will require local fuse protection if rated 3kw or less..........sfcu will be required.

Don't be so anal!

My question was that of someone who realised the his new kitchen with electrics installed by the said leccy a few weeks back may have been specified with incorrect connections as I (well you know who!) hadn't decided at specification and contract placement that a separate oven and hob was to be installed.
I didn't feel that I could ask my leccy at 9.15pm so asked a simple but essential question on this wonderful forum whilst I was searcing for other information on other forums. You should be pleased that I sought such reverered expertise. Unfortunately the forum is also infected with a few pedants too.![]()
Oh and by the way I never take any advice from the internet at face value, it's often incorrect!![]()
