OVEN ISSUE AGAIN!! help please

Hi,

About a year and half ago I replaced oven element after RCD tripped and
and Oven stopped heating up. Tested element and it had gone so replaced and all worked fine.

Then yesterday oven cooking nice lamb steaks and RCD tripped twice and oven stopped heating again. Had to put steaks on the BBQ.
I suspect element has gone again.
Note. The bulb blew some time again also.

Q. Why would this occur again after year and half?
Q.Should I replace element again and also bulb or perhaps replace Oven as it is prob about 8 years old?
It is a single Diplomat built in under worktop cooker.

Elements can go at anytime .I once replaced one and the new one blew whilst I was testing it!.

Have you tested the element or are you just assuming that it's failed?

Like you I would thing that an element would last a great deal longer than a year.
