I have a cooker rated at 2335w. Can this be fed from a ring circuit?

For me it's always the least desirable option. What is (appliances etc) already on the ring final you want to install on to?

Yes. But not directly. It must be connected either by hardwiring into a fused spur or by means of a plug and socket. But this is a big load to add to a ring. It would be better on its on circuit.

The normal cooker configuration would be a 30A fuse 6mm cable and a 45A cooker switch. Is this what should be used for this?

If you want the ability to upgrade in the future by all means install a larger cable than is necessary, but fuse down at the cooker end.
