Hi all

I’m currently undertaking some renovation work within my house which has had some pad stones specified to take the structural steelwork.

The plans that have been issued show the padstones @ 1100mm x 1100mm x 1000mm overlapping with the existing strip foundation.

I am assuming I do not touch the existing foundation and the new pad stone is formed around what is already in place ?

Thanks in advance for any advice / guidance

Do you mean pad foundations?

If so, yes these typically go next to existing foundations. They remain independent unless ties are specified.
