Painting metal with emulsion !

Hi all.i have a new white powder coated metal access hatch on my ceiling.

It looks ugly, going to emulsion the ceiling and want to emulsion over the access hatch aswell. Is it ok to give the hatch a couple coats of bin and then a couple emulsion ?

Have you considered using oil-based satin top coat in the same colour?

Would look better, and less likely to mark, imo.
